1. Habit information stored on your device

Bubble Habits stores your habits and activity history in local databases on your device. This version does not offer Bubble Habits accounts or synchronize habit records through a developer-operated server.

Stored information includes habit names, goals, schedules, priorities, customization and reminder settings, completion dates, time spent, progress, streaks, and related activity history. If available and used, it also includes tags and optional difficulty ratings. The app stores preferences and timer state needed to provide its features.

We do not receive your habit database through ordinary use of the app. We can see information you voluntarily send us, for example in a support message or screenshot.

2. Android backup and device transfers

Bubble Habits allows Android to back up eligible app data, which may include its local databases and preferences, subject to the app’s backup rules. If backup is enabled on your device, Android may automatically store a copy with Google or your device’s configured backup provider. Android may restore that data when you reinstall the app or set up a replacement device. Supported device-transfer features may also copy app data to a new device.

These processes are controlled by Android, your device settings, and the backup provider. They do not require a Bubble Habits account. We do not have access to your Android backup. Whether and when a backup or restoration occurs depends on the device, settings, and service; backups are not guaranteed to contain your latest changes.

You can manage backup options through your device’s system settings and your backup provider’s controls. Google handles information under its privacy policy: Google’s Privacy Policy

3. Pro purchases

Google Play processes purchases of Pro access. The app uses purchase information, such as the product purchased, purchase token, transaction status, and relevant transaction identifiers or times, to enable and restore Pro features. It stores entitlement information locally. The app does not collect your full payment-card details.

Clearing the app’s data does not erase Google’s purchase records or request a refund. Google processes and retains payment and transaction information under its own policies and applicable obligations.

4. Optional rewarded advertisements

You may choose to watch an advertisement supplied through Google AdMob to unlock Pro features temporarily. The app stores the temporary unlock’s expiry locally. Watching advertisements is optional; ordinary habit tracking does not require it.

Advertisements may be loaded in advance, when permitted by your privacy choices and applicable requirements, so they are ready when you choose to watch one. Advertising-related data processing may therefore occur even if you do not watch an advertisement. The app does not request new advertisements while it recognizes your purchased Pro upgrade as active.

Google and advertising partners involved in serving advertisements may collect and process information including your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, device and advertising identifiers, applicable account identifiers, app and advertisement interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. This information may be used to deliver and measure advertisements, personalize advertisements where permitted, analyze and improve services, and detect or prevent fraud and abuse.

Whether advertisements are personalized depends on your privacy choices, applicable requirements, and advertising settings. Non-personalized and limited advertisements can also involve data processing.

The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to check whether privacy messages or choices are required and to manage those choices. These checks can contact Google when the app starts, including when no advertisement is shown or a purchased Pro upgrade is active. Consent preferences are stored on your device.

Where required, we present privacy choices and obtain consent before requesting advertisements. When privacy options are available, you can revisit them through the advertising privacy options in Settings, including to change or withdraw consent or exercise applicable opt-out choices.

We do not send your habit names, activity history, or difficulty ratings to advertising services or use them to select advertisements.

For more information, see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Analytics and support

We do not use a separate app-usage analytics or crash-reporting service. This does not exclude the advertising service’s technical and measurement processing described above.

We use support emails only to respond to your enquiries and resolve issues. Correspondence is handled through our email service provider and retained for at most 12 months.

We do not sell your habit records. We do not have remote access to your device’s database or your Android backup to inspect or correct records.

6. Retention and deletion

Habit records remain on your device until the app’s data is cleared. Removing a habit within the app is a restorable deletion: its settings and history remain stored so that it can be restored.

To erase the app’s local records, use Android’s app settings to clear Bubble Habits’ storage/data. Uninstalling normally removes local app data, subject to any device option to retain it. Copies previously made by Android backup, device transfer, or your own exports are separate. Clearing local data does not necessarily immediately remove an existing backup, and a later restoration may bring back backed-up records. Manage those copies through the relevant device or provider controls.

There is no Bubble Habits cloud account to delete in this version. Google backup and Google Play records are managed separately from the app. Advertising and consent-related information processed by Google or its partners is retained under their applicable policies; clearing the app’s data does not necessarily delete information they already hold.

To request deletion of support correspondence held by us, contact contact@bubblehabits.app.

7. Security and processing locations

Local records are stored in the app’s private storage and protected by Android’s access controls. Backup, purchase, and advertising services apply their own security measures.

Google, advertising partners, and our email service provider may process information outside your country under their applicable data-protection and international-transfer arrangements. We do not promise that all processing is limited to a particular country. Google describes its safeguards in its Privacy Policy: Google’s Privacy Policy

8. Privacy rights

Contact contact@bubblehabits.app with privacy questions or requests concerning information we hold. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. We cannot retrieve local habit records or Android backup contents that we do not hold.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on performance of the service you request for purchase-related processing we undertake; legitimate interests in responding to support requests and protecting the service; legal obligations where applicable; and consent for processing that requires it.

You can change advertising consent through the app’s available privacy controls. For consent relating to information we process directly, contact us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Requests concerning information independently controlled by Google or another provider are handled through that provider’s privacy controls and request procedures.

9. Audience and policy updates

Bubble Habits is a general-purpose habit and productivity app. It is targeted at adults (18 and over).

We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the effective date. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it before the relevant processing begins.
